
The analysis of Tanzanian survey data reveals that people who have a traditional mindset, that is hold on to traditional beliefs (superstition, witchcraft beliefs and so on) are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories.
The explanation is that those of believe in conspiracy theories and and those who have traditional beliefs make sense of the world (reality) in pretty much the same way.
