We were there a few years ago, when it was still safe to Travel to Mali. Djenne’ is one remarkable place. After crossing the river, we approached the city walls and went in to discover a city that in many ways made one feel that time had stopped. It felt like being in a Medieval Town, with its market and its incredible mosque.
