Several universities worldwide have launched courses and programs devoted to witchcraft. The University of Exeter has a Centre for Magic and Esotericism which offers a Master’s Degree in Magic and Occult Sciences.
The University of Amsterdam has The Center for History of Hermetic Philosophy which conducts research on Western esotericism broadly understood. Furthermore Western esotericism, at the University of Amsterdam, can be studied in both undergraduate and graduate programs, see: Western esotericism – University of Amsterdam.
This (academic) interest in esotericism, the occult, magic, and witchcraft can also be found in the African continent. Mali, earlier this year, launched a School of Witchcraft “to “unlock the magical potential” of Africa”.
