PADO is an organization devoted to principles and the practice of evidence-based policymaking which is what developing nations need to make progress along the developmental path. PADO aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice in research.”

PADO conducts research on a wide range of topics from development to mining, from tourism to agriculture. Members of PADO regularly publish articles in scientific journals, but PADO regularly produced PADO African Updates Series (PAUSE).
