Agbodrafo, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Togo, was one of the main centers in the West African slave trade, and Maison Wood (also known as the Maison des Esclaves) was one of the places where slaves were imprisoned before being forced to cross the Atlantic on the slave-ships.
